Program description

Reason & Rationality (“we,” “us”) operates an SMS text-messaging program to send admissions updates, application reminders, scheduling confirmations, program logistics, and related informational messages to students, parents, and guardians who opt in (the “Reason & Rationality SMS Program”).

Opt-in

You opt in by providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS-consent box on one of our web forms (for example, the application or contact form), or by otherwise giving us express written consent to text you. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of applying to or enrolling in the program.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. You can expect approximately [2–6] messages per month, with more around application deadlines and program dates.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent unless you opt in again.

Carriers

Carriers (for example AT&T, T‑Mobile, and Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No third-party marketing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Privacy

We handle the personal information you share with us, including your mobile phone number, as described in our Privacy Policy.
